I just wanted to say hey. I haven't heard from you in a while, and I just wanted to see how you were doing!

Hi Dave!

I'm touched that you're checking up on me! I'm doing pretty well these days. The one thing I need right now is a job, and they seem pretty elusive these days. I've been keeping busy writing my musicals in between job searches. Trouble is I'm running out of places to search. :(

Other than that, I'm not sure what to say... my life's not the most interesting. What about yours?

I know exactly how you're feeling when it comes to looking for a job. I have applied for over 20 jobs in at least 5 different cities or villages. The problem is that no one is hiring! It frustrates me greatly.

The rest of my life isn't much more interesting than that either. I have attended Summerfest, the world's largest music festival, twice, in fact. It's in Milwaukee, WI, which is just 45 minutes from where I live. I saw what was probably the greatest concert I have ever attended: Chicago on the same stage as Earth Wind and Fire. I'm not sure if you know either of those bands, but you probably do. It was amazing... especially since it was the second time I've seen them together live, and this was even better than before!

That sounds awesome! You're right, I've never heard of either of those bands, but it sounds as if you had a lot of fun! I've only been to two concerts in my life: a Nickelback concert several years ago, and a Caledon concert about three years ago. I'm not sure whether you would have heard of Caledon, but I really enjoyed hearing them sing. The Nickelback concert was good too, but quite loud. And they could have gone without dumping beer all over people. :/

Chicago is a classic rock band that started in 1969, and Earth Wind and Fire is a classic funk/soul band that started... I don't know when. I think it was sometime in the 70s. Anyhow, the only real similarity between the two bands is their horn sections. It seems like it shouldn't work, but the two bands are so awesome in concert together. It's so incredible. I also danced my butt off ( :icondweebdanceplz: ), which made it even more fun, haha.

And yes, getting beer dumped on you is always a damper to a good time. Luckily, the only problem I had at the concert were the people right in front of me chain smoking. I ended up smelling like cigarettes, which was not pleasant.
